MHS Fall Musicial

Mulvane High School 

will be presenting the musical 

"Beauty and the Beast"

November 19th, 20th and 21st at 7:30pm in the Mulvane High School Auditorium. Advanced general admission tickets are on sale now for $4.00 per ticket for all age groups. Tickets will also be sold at the door $5.00/adult and $3.00/student. We are expecting record crowds so I would encourage you to get tickets early to avoid standing in line.  This is a fantastic show that your whole family will enjoy. You won't want to miss it!

Three Time State Champions 

MHS Boys Cross Country Team  

This is the 3rd year in a row these boys have returned to Mulvane with the state title. They are the first team in any sport in Mulvane history to win three consecutive titles.

FALL SEMESTER FINALS SCHEDULE 2009-2010

STUDENTS MAY NOT TAKE A DAY OFF DURING THE WEEK OF FINALS unless it is for a doctor's appointment or another professional appointment. All absences during this week without a note from a professional will be counted as unexcused.

***Students will be given a progress report on Friday, December 11th  in their advisory class. The grades on this progress report will determine if a student must take finals due to grades. These grades are not the final grades in the course but the grade that will be used to determine finals exemption. If a student is not in advisory or absent that day, it is the student's responsibility to get the progress report and know if they are to take finals based on grades. ***

  • Thursday, December  17th: (DAY 1)
    • 1st Hour- 7:45am-9:10am
    • 2nd Hour-9:20am-10:35am
    • 3rd Hour-10:45am-12:35pm (includes the lunch periods)
      • A Lunch: 10:45-11:20 (Class time: 11:20-12:35)
      • B Lunch:  11:20-11:55 (Class time: 10:45-11:20 and 11:55-12:35)
    • 4th hour-12:45pm-2:00pm
    • Advisory -2:10pm-3:00pm

    • 8th hour-12:45pm--3:00pm (Time to finish any unfinished/missed finals, complete any outstanding assignments, finish detention time. Students with any of these obligations are required to attend 8th hour)

Who is exempt from taking finals?

  • Students who have not missed more than one day of school during the 1st  semester (the only exception to this is for school activities) Jan will give you a list of those students with the HINI exemption on Tuesday, Dec. 15th.
  • AND
  • Have a B or higher in the class
  • AND
  • Have not spent any time in IN SCHOOL SUSPENSION for any reason
  • AND 
  • Have not been tardy more than 3 times


*FINALS MAY NOT BE TAKEN EARLY FOR ANY REASON: If there is a situation that can not be avoided a parent must make arrangements with Mrs. Wilson to arrange a time to complete the final, prior to December 16th.  The Make-Up Days will be December 21st and December 22nd  from 8:00am-12:00pm for those situations.  


Finals Policy Change (New as of Sept. 1st)

Finals for the fall semester will be December 17th and 18th

Spring finals will be May 25th and 26th (unless the school year is extended due to weather/unforeseen circumstances)

AP Biology, AP Literature and Composition, AP Spanish, AP Calculus A, AP Statistics, AP American History, Honors Algebra II and Honors Geometry. 

MHS also has a partnership with Cowley County Community College to offer the following Dual Credit College Courses: 

Composition 1, Composition 2, College Algebra, Public Speaking, and General Psychology
