Tickets are on Sale for, The Great High School Whodunit, an audience-participation, mystery dinner theatre where the audience will be treated to an evening of good food, entertainment and a chance to catch a criminal. The excitement begins at 7:00PM on Saturday, March 6th in the Mulvane High School Commons. Tickets are $10 and must be purchased in advance. Activity passes will not be honored, nor will tickets be sold at the door. This production is being co-produced by the MHS Thespian Club and MHS Band. We ended up placing 4th in team sweepstakes out of 21 schools.

Congratulations to the MHS Forensics Team for their success at the Wichita East Student Congress tournament and Wellington Forensics Tournament over the weekend. Individual placements in Student Congress were: Levi – 3^rd place in varsity senate, Maeghan – 4^th place in novice house 1, Alicia – 3^rd place in novice house 2 and Levi – elected presiding officer of varsity senate. Individual placements at Wellington were: Maeghan – 3^rd place in prose, Jessica – 4^th place in poetry, Nathan – 2^nd place in poetry, Josh – 1^st place in poetry, Autumn – 2^nd place in humorous interp., Maeghan 1^st place in humorous interp., Allyson and Amanda – 1^st place in improvised duet acting, Kara and Reegan – 5^th place in duet acting, Allyson and Amanda – 1^st place in duet acting, Jake – 2^nd place in informative speaking and Levi taking 2^nd in dramatic interp., and 1^st in extemporaneous speaking. The team as a whole took 1^st place in team sweepstakes and had 10 qualifications to the state tournament.

Congratulations to the MHS Forensics Team. Over the weekend, Forensics competed at the Valley Center Student Congress Tournament and Derby Forensics tournament. Individual placements were : Autumn 6^th place in novice house 1, Alex 6^th place in prose , Maeghan 5^th place in prose, Michelle 2^nd place in prose qualifying for state, Josh 3^rd place in poetry, Rylee 2^nd place in poetry qualifying for state, Maeghan 2^nd place in humorous interpretation, Nick 1st place in humorous interpretation qualifying for state, Taylor 4th place in dramatic interpretation, Landon and Alex 5^th in duet acting and Rose and Autumn 4^th place in duet acting. The team took 3^rd place in team sweepstakes.

The team took 2^nd place in Team Sweepstakes.

October 6, 2009	Winfield Novice Tournament	Congratulations to the MHS Wildcat Debate Team. The team traveled to Winfield yesterday for the Winfield Novice Invitational. Individual placements were: Thomas and Josh took 5^th and Elizabeth and Allison placed 2^nd.
October 10, 2009	Wichita Campus Novice Tournament	Congratulations to the MHS debate team. On Saturday the team competed at the Campus High School Novice Invitational. Nick and Levi placed 6^th.
October 31, 2009	Wichita Collegiate/Independent	Congratulations to the MHS Debate Team. The team took 3^rd place at the Wichita Collegiate/Independent Debate Invitational on Saturday. Individual placements were: Nick and Levi took 6^th in the open division. Patrick and Rylee took 5^th in the Novice division. Patrick took 5^th place speaker in Novice and Levi took 3^rd place speaker in open.
