Tickets are on Sale for, The Great High School Whodunit, an audience-participation, mystery dinner theatre where the audience will be treated to an evening of good food, entertainment and a chance to catch a criminal. The excitement begins at 7:00PM on Saturday, March 6th in the Mulvane High School Commons. Tickets are $10 and must be purchased in advance. Activity passes will not be honored, nor will tickets be sold at the door. This production is being co-produced by the MHS Thespian Club and MHS Band. We ended up placing 4th in team sweepstakes out of 21 schools.
Congratulations to the MHS Forensics Team for their success at the Wichita East Student Congress tournament and Wellington Forensics Tournament over the weekend. Individual placements in Student Congress were: Levi – 3rd place in varsity senate, Maeghan – 4th place in novice house 1, Alicia – 3rd place in novice house 2 and Levi – elected presiding officer of varsity senate. Individual placements at Wellington were: Maeghan – 3rd place in prose, Jessica – 4th place in poetry, Nathan – 2nd place in poetry, Josh – 1st place in poetry, Autumn – 2nd place in humorous interp., Maeghan 1st place in humorous interp., Allyson and Amanda – 1st place in improvised duet acting, Kara and Reegan – 5th place in duet acting, Allyson and Amanda – 1st place in duet acting, Jake – 2nd place in informative speaking and Levi taking 2nd in dramatic interp., and 1st in extemporaneous speaking. The team as a whole took 1st place in team sweepstakes and had 10 qualifications to the state tournament.
